Ja Rule will give More Details about New Album at Birthday Bash

26 Feb

After six years of waiting, there are only a few months in between Ja Rule’s new album and now. There have been many album title changes and many release dates. Now, Rule says that he is in complete control and he will make sure that he releases Venni Vetti Vecci 2010 before the end of this year.

Obviously, that is the main reason that Ja Rule decided to call the album Venni Vetti Vecci 2010. The album has been in the works since last January. While he has been in the studio for over a year, details about the album have been kept quiet. He plans to release the album with no warning.

With Ja Rule’s birthday at the end of this month, he wants to have an extravagant bash to celebrate him turning 34 years old. To mark this party, he plans to announced the full details of the album. So far, all that is known is that Rule will be working with Irv Gotti and DMX. The label situation has been speculated, but no one knows for sure how this album will be released.

Next week, at his bash, Ja Rule will let the public know everything that they want to know about Venni Vetti Vecci 2010. With this news will also come the album’s release date. An official release date has yet to be released, but Ja announced that the album would come in June. His original Venni Vetti Vecci album was released on June 1.

Ja Rule set to release First Singles from New Album

9 Feb

In what has been now a six-year hiatus, Ja Rule still has plans of making a comeback. He was supposed to have released The Mirror in 2007 and re-take the game. But, for unknown reasons, the album was never released. The following year, he had another album planned, but it suffered from the same fate as The Mirror. Last summer, he announced plans to take his fans back with a triple disc album.

Over time, Ja Rule has decided against a triple disc album. He promised that he would return with a new album in 2010, but an upcoming court case will prevent him from releasing a triple disc album. Instead, Ja Rule plans to release two albums before the end of this year. Unlike with past albums, Rule will release this album off of his own label, Mpire. The label has an exclusive distribution deal with Murder Inc., so it is as if he never left.

There has been a lot of talk of new music from Ja Rule for some time. He had recorded two albums worth of material, only for it to be leaked to the internet. This time, Ja will be making sure that the people working with him do not leak his music. For the first time in his career, Ja Rule wants to be in control of his own destiny. That means that he would like to release his music on his own terms.

With summer right around the corner, Ja Rule wants to release his first two singles to help heat things up. He plans to release his next album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, on June 1, 2010 on his own Mpire label and Murder Inc., which is said to have a deal in place with Atlantic Records.

Ja Rule to return to Hardcore Roots on New Album

23 Dec

It has been some time since Ja Rule last released an album. His last album, 2004’s R.U.L.E., was a critical and platinum success. The album was a great rebound from his previous release, which was plagued by his many feuds with other rappers. After years of dominating the game, Ja Rule had struggled and overcame.

The next year, Ja Rule had gotten back to work on another album that would have been released in 2005, had things gone according to plans. Things did not go as planned and Ja’s label, Murder Inc. was under a federal investigation. Since they were being investigated, Def Jam dropped the label from their deal, leaving them all alone.

Since the label’s head, Irv Gotti, was caught up in the trial, he could not focus on working on a new Ja Rule album. Plus, with no label willing to distribute Murder Inc. Records, a new Ja Rule album would not be coming out anytime soon. Towards the end of 2005, Irv Gotti and Murder Inc. were cleared of all charges.

In 2006, Ja Rule resurfaced on an appearance with the rest of the hip hop community on a remix to The Game’s hit single, “One Blood.” Their collaboration led to an alliance between the two rappers that remain strong. In 2007, The Game worked with Ja Rule on his expected comeback album, The Mirror.

While the album was never released, those who heard it said that it was easily the best album that Ja Rule had ever created. On this album, he made the hardcore songs that built his early fan base, he touched down on some of the issues surrounding him, and he still made the songs that he was famous for. The only problem was the fact that the audience remembered him as the guy that no one liked, so no one requested his music.

Due to the fact that his album went unreleased, Murder Inc.’s deal with Universal Records lapsed and the label is currently looking for a new deal. While the label is waiting, Ja Rule is recording a new album. Initially, he announced a triple disc album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, but it is unclear if he is still going to release an album of that intensity.

In between The Mirror and this new music, Ja Rule has ended his feud with DMX and he has made connections with many other hip hop stars, past and present. During his time away from the game, Ja Rule has kept an ear to the streets. His activity in the streets and his old neighborhood will be reflected on this new album. He is promising a sincere return to his old style on Venni Vetti Vecci.

There is no set release date for this new Ja Rule album, but plenty of music is expected from the former face of hip hop in 2010.

Ja Rule readies Triple Disc, “Venni Vetti Vecci 2010”

28 Oct

Ja RuleOnly two years removed from 2007’s The Mirror, Ja Rule is ready to come with eighth studio album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010. It has been almost three years since any new music has been released from Ja.

Once again, Ja Rule finds himself on the comeback trail. However, this time around, Ja wants to make history. Such rappers as Chamillionaire and Cam’ron have released triple disc mixtapes, but never before has there been a rapper to release a triple disc studio album.

Since it has been three years Ja Rule’s last album, he plans to drop a triple disc set. Venni Vetti Vecci is the same title of Ja’s debut album that was released in 1999. The title means, “he came, he saw, he conquered.” At the time, Rule had not accomplished much, but now he has.

Each of the album’s three discs will focus on each point. The first disc will be the “He Came” disc that details his rise into the game. The second disc will be the “He Saw” disc that details his time finally reaching stardom. The final disc will be “He Conquered,” that disc will detail his career after he became rap’s biggest star.

The first single from the album is “Father Forgive Me,” a recycled treat from The Mirror. A video has been shot and it will be released to media outlets in the near future. However, the album has yet to have an official release date, Ja Rule is said to have been working daily on the album.

Venni Vetti Vecci 2010 will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2010 on Murder Inc./Atlantic with promotion from Ja Rule’s own Mpire Music Group.

Ja Rule to release a New Album in 2009 After all?

17 Oct

Ja RuleRecently, footage leaked of Ja Rule on the set of a video for his song, “Father Forgive Me.” He said that the song was off of his upcoming album, The Mirror. Just a few months ago, he released the 2007 version of that album and said that he had moved on to his triple album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010.

With that announcement, Ja Rule said that he had no plans of releasing an album in 2009. He figured that he would wait until 2010 to release his next album. Now, with his recent reconciliations with DMX and Ashanti, he must have had a change of heart. In a recent interview, he confirmed that “Father Forgive Me” was the first single from The Mirror.

The song was initially due to be released as the third single from the 2007 version of the album sometime in January 2008, months after the release. After the first two singles did not live up to expectations, the album was pushed back and “Father Forgive Me” was scrapped. Then, he made announcements saying that he was not using any songs from the 2007 album.

Back in July, Ja Rule made the announcement that he had no album planned for 2009, aside from the online release of The Mirror. Now that “Father Forgive Me” is the first single from The Mirror, a November release date has been given for the album. So, will Ja Rule be releasing an album this year?

Ja Rule Is Preparing “Venni Vetti Vecci 2010”

23 Sep

Ja RuleIt seems like Ja Rule has been preparing for his comeback longer than he was actually on top of the rap game. Initially, Rule was supposed to return in 2007 after a three-year absence from the game. His album was to be called The Mirror and the album was not bad at all.

For unknown reasons, the album was pushed back until 2008, then pushed back indefinitely until its online release on July 31, 2009. The album being released so late made it not have the same affect that it would have if it had been released back in 2007. Throughout the year of 2009, Ja Rule has really appeared more like a hip hop commentator than a player.

Ever since 2003, he has spoken of a sequel to his 1999 debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci. Even when he was working on The Mirror, Rule has spoken about an album that would be released in 2010 called Venni Vetti Vecci 2010. No one knew that there would not be any other albums released in between time, however.

Ja Rule’s run in the game lasted five years; his break has lasted six years. Despite his run ending early in the decade, Ja has taken this time off to start in the next decade fresh. Who knows? He might actually have something to put him back on top of the game.
