Drake is not an average rapper, his entrance into the game showed that. Last year, alone, he took over the game without an album or a label. Before the end of 2009, he ended up signing with Young Money. While he did get a label, he did not release an album. Still, he managed to end up being one of the biggest names in rap. With all of his accomplishments, his debut album has yet to come.
While Drake has been featured on many singles, he has yet to release one on his own. Unlike most rappers, Drake is waiting to record multiple tracks so that he can choose the one that he wants to release. Already, the rookie has been recording with Jay-Z and Eminem. He was pumped about those recordings, but neither of those songs were picked to be his lead single.
Instead, a newer song that was recorded weeks ago, “Over,” will be released as the debut single from Thank Me Later. That album will be released later this summer on Young Money and it will also feature collaborations from Lil Wayne, The-Dream, and Young Jeezy.
