For years, Fabolous has been one of those rappers that releases an album and then lays low for a while before releasing another album. When he first came into the game, Fab received multiple comparisons to Jay-Z. Up until the recent onslaught from Lil Wayne, Jay-Z was considered the hardest working man in hip hop. In his time in the public eye, Fabolous is known more as the hardest working man on Twitter.
Following the release of his fifth studio album, Loso’s Way, Fabolous has rededicated himself to the game. No longer does he want to wait to release new music. Only months after the release of his album, Fabolous wanted to release a mixtape. He had hoped to unite with DJ Drama to release a Gangsta Grillz mixtape on Christmas Day. The only problem was the fact that Drama was unavailable because of his spending time with family.
Once the mixtape was pushed back from Christmas, Fabolous promised a new release right after the New Year. The mixtape was set for January 5, 2010, which is right here. Now, Fabolous is still trying to hold fans over. After a little time for speculation, he has announced the title for this new mixtape. Despite Christmas being last year, Fabolous is still keeping the theme alive. He has titled this new mixtape, Baby Jesus.
This mixtape is what Fabolous plans to hold fans over with until he comes with his heavy releases. When the New Year gets into full gear, Fabolous has plans of releasing a sequel to his popular 2008 mixtape, There Is No Competition, titled There Is No Competition 2. After the release of this mixtape, he plans to go in and begin recording his sixth album. Fabolous plans to make this album a sequel of his 2009 album, Loso’s Way.
In the coming weeks, expect some new music from Fabolous.
