Shyne is working with Scott Storch on New Album

29 Dec

There was a time when the future of hip hop was pointed in Shyne’s direction. One bad decision led to the rapper spending the next two years in court. Following those two years, the rapper spent eight years in prison. Overall, Shyne ended up losing ten years of his life. Still, he managed to release an album during that time period.

While in prison, Shyne did record and release Godfather Buried Alive, but after that album, he was still in prison. It has been five years since the release of that album. Due to the fact that Shyne reached out to other rappers while he was still a rising star, they all supported him. As recent as last month, he was giving advice to Game. There has never been a rapper quite like Shyne.

The biggest reward that he received in the past few years was on October 6, 2009, when he was released from prison. But, seeming to be a bit unable to catch a break, it turned out that Shyne was never a legal United States citizen. Because of that, October 19, 2009 saw Shyne being deported and returned to Belize. For the past few years, there have been many false alarms saying that Shyne was working on new music.

Apparently, he had been working on some new music, but never to make into an album. This was just to keep himself fresh. Now, it is official, Shyne has a label deal with Game’s Black Wall Street and now he has begun working on his third studio album. With production work from Scott Storch, Shyne is back in the studio creating his Black Wall Street debut. Aside from this, he also appears on DJ Khaled’s upcoming album, Victory.

I am so glad to see Shyne back in the lab. I was a fan before he went to prison and I totally look forward to hearing some new material.
