Trick Daddy may record a Rick Ross-diss mixtape

26 Dec

Despite the fact that these two rappers appear on a lot of the same songs, work with the same artists, and appear in the same videos, there is a feud between Trick Daddy and Rick Ross. When he first debuted to the public, in 2006, Rick Ross made claims, saying that he was the king of Miami and other statements. For years, Trick Daddy has been the mayor of Dade County, which encompasses Miami.

While, in reality, they are both only rappers, these titles are taken very seriously within the hip hop community. The comments by Rick Ross often rival those of Trick Daddy’s. When a rapper claims another rapper’s territory, most often a feud follows. In 2006, a song by Trick Daddy was released and many thought that this was his official challenge to Rick Ross. However, this was denied by Trick Daddy, as he said that he calls people out directly.

Trick Daddy has denied feuding with Rick Ross and he even appeared on Trilla. Even though they often come together for the DJ Khaled songs and appear in videos from other Miami artists, there have still been rumors of a feud between Miami’s two biggest stars. When Rick Ross first called out 50 Cent, the G-Unit rapper threatened to get Trick Daddy to give up some information about Ross.

Back in 2007, there were rumors of Trick Daddy possibly signing with G-Unit Records. This was going on at the height of the DJ Khaled-50 Cent feud. Trick Daddy said that their feud was their feud and this was business. Even if he had signed with G-Unit, he would have continued to work with the same DJ Khaled-affiliated artists. This was well before the Rick Ross-50 Cent feud.

Recently, 50 Cent’s DJ, DJ Whoo Kid announced that Trick Daddy may record a mixtape with him that is dedicated to dissing Rick Ross. It has been a little while since there have been any rumors of friction between Ross and Trick Daddy. In the past, Trick Daddy has said that he did not like Rick Ross. But, he ended up appearing on three songs with him during that same frame of time.

This may also lead to the eventual signing of Trick Daddy to G-Unit Records. Once 50 Cent signs a new distribution deal for G-Unit Records, he is looking to expand the roster of the label.
