Diddy will have to wait a Little Longer for the “Last Train”

22 Dec

After the release of his 2006 album, Press Play, Diddy promised that he was going to release another album in 2007. During an appearance on “106 & Park,” during the summer of 2007, he said that another volume of We Invented The Remix would be released in December. The release date came and went without an album.

Somewhere along the line, that album was scrapped. In 2008, Diddy kept a low-profile, opting to build Day26 and expand his ventures. However, as 2009 came in, he announced a rededication to his Bad Boy Records. Over the years, the label had become stagnant and he wanted to breathe some new life into the operation.

Early in the year, he added Red Café to the label and announced that he would release a new album before the end of the year. In September, he moved the Bad Boy label to Interscope for distribution and he signed The L.O.X. to the label and it is possible that he will sign Method Man, Ghostface, and Raekwon to the label so that they can release Wu Massacre.

Due to the fact that Diddy has been so busy trying to help his new artists get secure and the fact that he has been signing new artists, his own project has been neglected. After Last Train to Paris was pushed back from its late 2009 release, it was slated for an April 2009 release. Currently, there is not a set release date for this new album
