Before his reunion with Dr. Dre, Game had completed his fourth studio album, The R.E.D. Album. However, since the two were back together for the first time in years, Dre felt the need to provide some input on Game’s album. Given the hectic schedule of Dr. Dre, he needed some help.

Ever since the reunion between Game and Dr. Dre, the legendary producer has been working on the album. Still, though, Game and Dre’s other protege, 50 Cent, continue to feud. Their feud is one reason that Game and Dr. Dre cannot work so close. To help out, Dr. Dre reached out to Pharrell.

Initially, Pharrell was supposed to only do a couple of tracks for Game, but their chemistry led to Pharrell becoming an executive producer for the album and Game signing to his Star Trak imprint. The relationship between Game and Pharrell is still budding. Due to his long list of production work, frequently Pharrell works outside of hip hop.

Numerous times, Pharrell has worked closely with Timbaland who works frequently with Justin Timberlake. With new music set to come from Timberlake next year, he has enlisted Pharrell’s services. The singer came across a track that Pharrell produced for Game and he loved it. Because of that, he laid down some vocals for the album.

Just like that, Game has a collaboration with Justin Timberlake. Game described it as he and Pharrell in the studio and Timberlake simply walking in and falling in love with the track. Game described the singer as “dope.” Aside from this collaboration, Game has worked with Dr. Dre, Gucci Mane, and DJ Premier.

Game is set to release his fourth studio album, The R.E.D. Album, on February 16, 2010.
