Ludacris replaces Shawnna on “Battle of the Sexes” LP

7 Dec

It is officially over between Shawnna and Disturbing tha Peace Records. Ever since 2007, there have been rumors of her leaving the label. Late last year, news surfaced of a collaboration album between her and Ludacris.

For most of this year, she and Ludacris have been working on this new album. However, a few months ago, she revealed that she had left DTP for T-Pain’s Nappy Boy label. Ludacris denied these reports and Shawnna came back to reveal a joint-venture deal.

Apparently, Shawnna had been dishonest with Ludacris with this and many other things. It has been revealed that he has removed her from the DTP roster. T-Pain had revealed that she was on his label and Ludacris was unaware of the changes.

Now that she is no longer a part of the DTP camp, she has been removed from the album. Despite this, the album will still be released. Ludacris has revealed that Battle of the Sexes will no longer be a collaboration album. Instead, the album will consist of him, with a female artist on each track.

So far, the album will feature appearances from Lil Kim, Eve, and Nicki Minaj. It is possible that Ludacris will now release this album as a solo record for himself since his album has been pushed back. Currently, Battle of the Sexes is set for a release in the first quarter of 2010.
