Dr. Dre to release “Detox” in 2010

9 Oct

Dr. DreDr. Dre has been working on his third studio album for so long, that the album has been forgotten by most. It is now ten years and counting since he first announced Detox.

The album was supposed to have been released in 2004, before being pushed back to 2006 and then was placed on the “Coming Soon” list.

Working with Dr. Dre on the album over the years have been Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Timbaland, Pharrell, T.I., 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and The Game. Recently, The Game mentioned via Twitter that he is still working with Dr. Dre for the album.

As for the constant push-backs of the album, Dr. Dre has finally spoken on his reasons. He cites a lack of motivation and the fact that he is always on someone else’s project as the reason that he cannot get Detox out.

Now, Dr. Dre has taken the time out to officially go to work on the album. He said that he hopes to get the album finished before the end of this year in order to release the album in 2010.

Still, no official release date has been given. The album will be released sometime eventually.
