Dr. Dre & The GameEver since he was ousted from G-Unit, The Game has been estranged from Dr. Dre. Initially, the two linked up in 2002. He reached a deal with Dre for his Aftermath Entertainment to distribute Get Low Recordz.

However, due to Dr. Dre’s busy schedule, he hardly ever had time to work with The Game. Late in 2002, 50 Cent was signed to Aftermath and he quickly took over the industry. As a result, Dr. Dre decided to have The Game work with G-Unit.

Initially, things went great as The Game’s first two singles were hits and his debut album, The Documentary, was a platinum release. For a while, The Game’s popularity overtook that of 50 Cent, the flagship artist. This led to friction between The Game and 50 Cent.

Soon, Game left G-Unit/Aftermath and released his next album, The Doctor’s Advocate on Geffen Records. Ever since his departure from Dr. Dre, he has been estranged from his former mentor. Despite this, Dre has never come out to take sides in the feud.

The Game has released two albums since he left Aftermath Entertainment. Each release has featured many rhymes from The Game that express his desire to reunite with Dr. Dre. It has come to be expected and before each album is released, Game always says that Dr. Dre will be doing production work.

Recently, a photo leaked of The Game in the studio with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. The Game embedded the photo on Twitter and posted that he may be working with Dr. Dre on his forever-delayed Detox. If The Game may be working with Dr. Dre on Detox, Dr. Dre may be working with The Game on The R.E.D. Album.

While there is no set release date for Detox, The Game’s fourth studio album, The R.E.D. Album, is expected to be released on December 8, 2009.
