Diddy is working with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Drake on New Album

2 Oct

Sean CombsDiddy has been planning this new album ever since 2007. Initially, the album was intended to be a sequel to his 2001 album, We Invented The Remix, Vol. 1. He said on “106 & Park” that the album was due on December 18, 2007.

Business issues got in the way of the album and it saw numerous push-backs until 2008. For 2009, Diddy said that a new album was in the works, but it would not be a remix album, instead it would be an album of all-new material.

This summer, Last Train to Paris was born. The album is inspired, in part, by Kanye West’s 2008 R&B album, 808s and Heartbreak. For the album, in typical Diddy style, he hopes to load up on the big-name guest appearances.

For the album, Diddy hopes to work with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Drake. It is no coincidence that Diddy has opted to work with the biggest artists of 2009. He already has two tracks completed for the album, which has been pushed back until 2010.

Last Train to Paris will be released sometime in April 2010 on Bad Boy and Interscope Records.
