Ja Rule talks DMX Reconciliation

28 Sep

Ja RuleJa Rule and DMX made headlines last week. Surprisingly, it was not because of Ja calling him a crackhead, or calling him “Judas.” Nor was it DMX questioning Ja’s manhood and referencing “Chicago.”

Instead, the two rappers came together at the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors to celebrate the label that made them into stars, Def Jam. While DMX has yet to mention the renewed friendship, Ja Rule has spoken on it before.

Recently, Ja Rule talked more in-depth about the reasons that the two ended the feud. Rule said that he ended his feud with DMX in 2006. While that may have been true, DMX was on radio dissing Ja Rule as late as August 2009. Some people from X’s camp said that he had been trying to turn over a new leaf.

Ja Rule said that he and DMX had been talking for a while through their mutual friend, Swizz Beatz. Changing his past tones, Ja said that their feud was never really serious, seeing how close that the two had become. He mentioned that X knew his children and he knew X’s children. Ja also stated that their wives knew each other.

At the ceremony, Ja Rule said that DMX had talked with his children before the show, so he decided to also talk to his former collaborator. He said that the two hugged each other, during the show, and they talked and hung out afterwards.
