In 2007, Ja Rule was supposed to make his grand return to the rap game. He tried, the effort was evident from the songs released off of The Mirror. However, it was not enough because there was never enough promotion to go ahead with the album.

When Ja Rule and Irv Gotti were out promoting The Mirror, they pointed out a song called “Father Forgive Me.” The song had been praised by Jay-Z and The Game. Had things gone as planned, it would have been released as the album’s third single in January 2008. Things did not go as planned, but Ja has released it as a single.

Only months after releasing his last album, Loso’s Way, Fabolous is already back at it. Recently, he sat down to talk about his future projects. While not wanting to tell too much, Fab did say that he had something special planned to force people to actually buy the album instead of downloading it for free.

After his fourth release, From Nothin’ to Somethin’, only managed to certify at gold, Fabolous decided to go all out with his 2009 release, Loso’s Way. To keep fans interested, Fab decided to have a 30 minute album go along with the album. Despite his extra effort, his album still did not sell very many copies.

For his next album, Fabolous has something top secret planned. He did not give too many details about what he has coming, but more than likely, it will not be another movie. Music from this new album will probably surface sometime next year and the album will probably be released late in 2010.

Recently, Juelz Santana said that he was interested in reuniting with Cam’ron and Jim Jones to revive their Dipset movement. Months ago, Cam had expressed those same sentiments. When he made those comments, Juelz and Jimmy expressed no interest in working with Cam again.

When Cam’ron made his comeback, earlier this year, he said that he was down for anything if the money was right. But, over time, he ended up dissing both Jim Jones and Juelz Santana. He accused Santana of being addicted to syrup. Juelz said that he is willing to work with Cam again, but he has to apologize before they work together again.

A few months ago, Cam’ron expressed interest in working with his former crew, again, but not now. There are plenty of fans that are also excited about the possibility of Cam’ron, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana coming together for another album. If one were to ask Cam, there is no possibility of him ever working with those two again.

After being asked if he would ever work with Juelz Santana or Jim Jones again, Cam’ron said that he would not. His reason for not working with his former partners again is because of the fact that his work with them is a part of the past. At the present moment, Cam’ron is looking at his future, so he has no need to look back.

Cam’ron is rumored to be working on his seventh studio album, which will be released sometime in mid-2010.

A lot of people were offended by 50 Cent taking pictures of Rick Ross’ son with Tia Kemp. While this feud is completely different from every other hip hop feud in history, no one expected such a low blow from 50 Cent. Now that things have gotten a little hot, 50 has decided to speak on the situation.

In this feud with Rick Ross, 50 Cent said that nothing is off limits. His reason for saying this is because Ross crossed this line first. Early in their feud, the Miami rapper hinted at 50’s son, Marquise, numerous times. There was even a picture of 50’s son that surfaced in a Rick Ross promotional. What Ross pulled, then was very disrespectful.

Rick Ross definitely pulled off a low blow with using images of 50 Cent’s son. However, this gives 50 Cent no excuse to meet Rick Ross’ son in person and take pictures with him. 50 said that he was allowed to do this after they took a picture of his son and placed it on top of a monkey’s body.

For the most part, Beanie Sigel had been quiet for most of 2009. When Roc-A-Fella Records broke up late last year, he was among those who left the label. Many people had felt that there had been hard feelings between Beans and Jay-Z. In September, right after the release of The Blueprint 3, he denied those charges and praised Hov.

However, in October, he was at a concert, apparently dissing Jay-Z. Once the footage began to attract attention, he denied that he was dissing Jay-Z. Then, he released the song, “I’m Not Your Average Cat,” that dissed Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek. While Bleek was ready to immediately bury the hatchet, Jay-Z was offended by the charges Sigel made.

From there, Beanie Sigel partnered with 50 Cent and they have been feuding with Jay-Z. Of course, there are those who were die-hard fans of the old Roc-A-Fella and they hate to see Beanie Sigel dissing Jay-Z like this. They are hoping that the former partners could end their feud sometime soon.

With the help of 50 Cent, Beans has been going at Jay-Z for nearly a month and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Now, he has plans of releasing his next album sometime next year. He said that he is going to properly address Jay on that album. Next year, things are going to get hot between the two.

It is likely that Beanie Sigel will end up signing with G-Unit Records sometime before he begins working on an album.

There has not been an album in recent years to have as many push-backs as Lil Wayne’s Rebirth. Initially, the album was supposed to have been released in April with Wayne releasing Tha Carter IV towards the end of the year. The idea of Rebirth was for it to be an experimental album and Tha Carter IV was to be a regular rap album.

Universal Records was afraid that an album such as Rebirth would ruin Wayne’s image. As a result, they have frequently pushed the album back. The album was first set for release on April 7, then it was pushed back to June, later July, then November, and later December 15. During the summer, Lil Wayne said that Rebirth was ready and he was now working on Tha Carter IV.

Aside from his two albums, Lil Wayne was also helping to create a compilation album for his label, Young Money. That album featured the hit single, “Every Girl.” In between the release of Rebirth and Tha Carter IV was to be the Young Money album. However, the frequent push-backs of Rebirth and the anticipation of Carter IV have led to the Young Money disc being neglected.

To combat this and boost sales, Birdman announced that the Young Money album may be packaged into Rebirth. Lil Wayne later confirmed this, along with a December 15 release date for the album. Rebirth will no longer be released on December 15. The album has been pushed back until December 22, 2009. The Young Money album will also be released on the same date, separately.

Lil Wayne’s seventh studio album, Rebirth, will be released on December 22, 2009 on Young Money/Cash Money/Universal.

As legendary as Jay-Z is, he has not accomplished some things that have been accomplished by many inferior artists. He never had a number one single. However, Jay has had many street anthems. There have been many Jay-Z singles that deserved to be number one, but there had never been one.

When Jay-Z made his return to the game with “D.O.A.,” he openly states that the single is not a number one record. Jay-Z loved to brag that in his entire career, he had never had a number one single. He would use that when he was criticized by those who said that he went pop. With his latest album, Jay did experiment, but who would have though he would land a number one hit?

Among the songs used to promote The Blueprint 3 was “Empire State of Mind.” Like many songs before from New York artists, it paid homage to the Big Apple. The song had a nice melody and a 1950s’ feel to it. The hook by Alicia Keys made the song perfect. Jay’s slow flow takes you right to each place.

The song received positive reception and some credit it to the New York Yankees’ World Series title. Now, the song has received the ultimate love, a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. As long as Jay-Z has been putting it down, he has never had one of these.

When news first surfaced of a return of Shyne, the hip hop community began buzzing. Many rappers voiced their opinions about the situation. As a surprise to many, Diddy also talked about the situation. There had been rumors of a feud between Shyne and Diddy for some time.

Only one day after Diddy talked about Shyne and his prison release, Shyne denied all of the statements his former boss made. Immediately after Shyne denied and dissed Diddy, he was deported. He was given a few days to flee the nation. The way it happened led some to believe that Diddy was behind it.

After serving eight years in an American prison system, it is only right that Shyne is allowed to stay. The fact that Shyne had to leave right after his release was a major blow to not only him, but also people that wanted to hear new music from him. Among those wanting to hear new music from Shyne was Diddy.

While speaking with Funkmaster Flex, Diddy revealed a lot about his relationship with Shyne. First off, Diddy has let it be known that he does not, nor has he ever, had a feud with Shyne. Just like everyone else, he was looking forward to seeing Shyne come home and hearing the new music that he was ready to create.

Before his deportation, Shyne had signed with Game’s Black Wall Street.

Last month, a song from Snoop Dogg was released that had him rapping lyrics that seemed to detail the kiss between Birdman and Lil Wayne in 2006. While the lyrics seemed to be aimed directly towards Birdman and Wayne, no names were mentioned. Because of that, Snoop says that he did not diss them.

When he was asked about dissing Wayne and Birdman, Snoop Dogg said that he does not diss people indirectly. He said that if he did not mention their name, he was not talking about them. He went on to discuss his song, “Pimp Slap,” where he went in on Suge Knight. Snoop Dogg said that it is unlike him to beat around the bush, he goes right at people when he has an issue.

Snoop Dogg concluded by saying that there is not a rapper in the game that he has an issue with. He said if there is any rapper that feels offended by something that he has said, please bring it to him. Snoop denied making any diss songs, instead, he said that he makes hit songs.

In 1996, Dame Dash teamed up with street rapper, Jay-Z, to create Roc-A-Fella Records. The label was known as a major independent brand. By 1997, the label had secured an exclusive distribution deal with Def Jam. Under Def Jam, the Roc-A-Fella brand grew to unforeseen heights.

By the time the 21^st century rolled through, Roc-A-Fella was the hottest thing out. Jay-Z rose very rapidly to become the top rapper in the game. Dame Dash was his sidekick, seen in every video. Aside from being the sidekick, Dash was running things behind the scenes, keeping the label on top.

In 1999, Roc-A-Fella Records was the hottest thing out. In 2009, Roc-A-Fella is barely in existence, but Jay-Z remains one of rap’s most popular figures. When asked about the break up of the label, Dash blames Lyor Cohen. He feels that a lot of Cohen’s business decisions led to the tensions, which led to the label falling to pieces.

Dame Dash said that even though he is no longer at Roc-A-Fella, he hates to see it the way it currently is. He said that he wishes that Beanie Sigel had been allowed to do more because if he had, maybe things would have happened differently.
